BARBARA JEAN WILSON

Survivor Leader I Speaker I Author I Advocate

Barbara Jean Wilson is a powerful voice for justice, healing, and

hope. A lived experience expert and survivor of childhood sexual

abuse, human trafficking, and familial trafficking,

Barbara has dedicated her life to transforming trauma into purpose.

Her testimony speaks not only to survival, but also to restoration through faith, resilience, and advocacy.

She is the award-winning author of Mute But Now I Speak —

winner of the 2023 International Book Award by Hope PYX

Global—and Blessings After Going Through The Valley. Her work

shines a light on the complex realities of trafficking and abuse

while offering a message of empowerment and redemption.

Barbara has spoken at some of the world’s most respected

platforms, including the United Nations, the U.S. Department of

Justice, and the NYPD Cyber Intelligence Conference. She has

also delivered keynote addresses at the Women Economic Forum,

the National Child Protection Task Force, and schools and

universities across the U.S. and the Caribbean. Whether speaking

to students, faith communities, or government leaders, Barbara

brings authenticity, compassion, and lived expertise to every space

she enters.

Her leadership extends beyond the stage. Barbara serves as Chairwoman of the Board for ATI-International and as Director

of Survivor Advocacy for Familial Trafficking at the National

Child Protection Task Force. She sits on the boards of

Reset180, Survivor Network NC, and Survivor Network VA,

and is a committed member of RAINN, the nation’s largest

anti-sexual violence organization.

Barbara’s journey—from silence to advocacy, from pain to

purpose—is a testament to the strength of survivors and the

power of speaking out. She holds a BBA from Strayer

University and has been honored with multiple awards for her

service, including the Woman of the Year Award by Freddie Mac’s Women’s Interactive Network.

Her message is clear: healing is possible, faith is powerful,

and survivors are more than their pasts—they are leaders,

authors, and changemakers.
